Draconid
A draconid is an exlusively anan species of dragon found on the planet Kinta. They are commonly characterized by their mammalian nature, soft flesh-like scales, scalp hair, and warm blood. They frequently also sport external ears, small or no horns, smaller claws than other dragon species, and otherwise remarkably similar DNA to a sapien.
Draconids have traditionally been said to be the offspring of a grand union between sapien and amon dragon tribes tens of thousands of years ago. Ironically, they were very tribal and technologically challenged until the closing of the Second Age, which connected them with gifted societies for the first time. Draconids are now considered one of the most technologically advanced and skilled species on Kinta.
There is specism and hatred toward draconids, much like almost any species, though for different reasons. It is speculated that draconids are responsible for the genocide and reported extiction of the Lagros species of dragon, though modern draconids fiercely defend their innocence. Draconids have a great alliance and friendships with cavies (guinea pigs), but have had long time stand offs against certain species such as wolves.
