Androids Vs. Synthoids

There are two major kinds of synthetic-based creatures that have been well documented on Kinta, as opposed to the organic-based creatures Anan and Amon.

An Android is a mechanically-based synthetic being that closely resembles that of an organic creature. The Realm of MERDO generally uses the term anthroid to differentiate their creations from those made by other scientific teams across Rasteria, such as Hapon's Rocchi.

A Synthoid, on the other hand, is a synthetic creature created from non-mechanical parts or a combination of mechanical parts and elemental components. Most of these, such as golems, are magically animated via elemental power or alchemy. They contain minimal organic matter, though some may have proprietary organic mass created via genetic engineering. Genetically engineered beings with a high percentage of non-organic or super-organic elements within them may also be considered synthoids. Examples include Duraji, Tagra, and Doma.
