Short Bio: W.H. Charron was born at Day Kimbell Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut. Attending Eastford Elementary School from 1990-1999, he always knew that there was something unusual about him and the way he thought about life, the universe, and everything. The humble author started his creative writing career once at Woodstock Academy, his high school from 1999-2003. After being unsatisfied simply by writing a couple works of fanfiction, he discovered a large opportunity to tell unique stories and challenge others with views and philosophical challenges that had perhaps not been explored often.
In 2002, Charron discovered the anthropomorphics fanbase, also known as the "furry fandom". He became affiliated with the fandom in mid-2003, creating his first avatar, Lurdanjo "Danji" Mistaro, and his android reptilian companion, Zardios. Despite considering himself a "pseudo-fur", or simply a "furry fan", he has attended several anthropomorphics conventions starting with Anthrocon in 2004.
Even within the fandom, however, he is considered one with rather unique interests and ideas. Instead of believing in a totem animal that houses his soul, he most enjoys the aesthetic concept of anthropomorphism as combining the best and most attractive elements of humans and nonhumans. He also enjoys the concepts of synthetic lifeforms and artificial intelligence, perhaps more so than any others in the fandom. In early 2007, he changed focus from his character Danji to a new character, Duraji, to be his primary avatar and online representation. In order to allow others to enjoy his visions and interests, he decided that he'd have to share his stories and ideas with as many people as possible, which led to the vision and finally the creation of this website in mid-2007.
Charron best describes himself as intelligent, but not smart. Witty, yet bad with "correct" timing. Charming and sweet, though lacking in all the grace that the ingrained knowledge of social skills would provide. Concerned about others and affectionate, yet rather odd and possessing a strange (though mostly harmless) dark side. His mind is a convuluted, scary place at times, and yet there's a simple aura about it all. He enjoys hanging out with others and making others happy, though often feels that he is the odd one out perhaps because of where his mind tends to concentrate at any given time. He hates to see suffering, yet loves to see relics of the uncanny. He considers himself mostly agnostic, but hopes for there to be more in the universe. He sees the natural beauty in both sexes. He will fight for his friends, but regret thinking too deep about his own sufferings. He loves making new friends, but doesn't always make the best first impression.
Charron currently resides in Eastford, Connecticut.
The purpose of Duraji.com is to provide a home for Charron's ideas and ambitions, including an extensive encyclopedia of all of his created works, samples of his writing, his attempts at art as well as artistic interpretations of his ideas from other artists, and even a portal for Flash animation. Charron hopes to be able to frequently update the website, whenever he isn't too busy with work or stress, of course, and to figure out if he can convert this page to a first person account rather than need to speak of himself in the current third person.
